On a tight student budget, not looking to make any profit but possibly fund my homebrew projects.

I know it'd be illegal to sell beer but how about bartering say 20pints for the ingredients to brew 40pints?

I would guess yes Joe, because you would not be making it for your own consumption.

I think there is something loose about personal consumption. e.g. I think you're allowed let your family and friends drink your brews.
