Heres one i've made a few times and thinks is top class.I used a chocolate stout I brewed but you can use any stout. It best served with a chocolate fondant or warm chocolate brownie
2 cups double cream
2 cups of stout
3/4 cups sugar
1 1/2 tsp coco
1 tsp vanilla extract
8 egg yokes
bring stout and cream to boil
cream together the sugar, coco, vanilla and eggs with wisk
reduce heat on stout and cream and add the egg mixture
simmer on v low heat untill you have a custard
If your ice cream maker is on that doesn't have a built in electric refrigeration unit, let the mixture cool before putting it in.
