Lambic framboise sorbet 16 years 7 months ago #1

Hi all

A weekend ago I made this a Lambic Framboise sorbet and it turned out very nice. It’s actually very simple and easy, sorry some of the measurements are in America cups

125ml or 1/2 cup sugar
64ml or 1/4 cup lyles golden syrup or honey
63ml or 1/4 cup water
500g raspberries frozen
250ml Liefmans framboise lambic

Make the syrup with the sugar, golden syrup and water by heating until near boiling and then allow cool.

Add the Liefmans framboise to the raspberries and puree/blend then. When the syrup is cool add it to the berries mix and then added to ice cream maker.

Yep very nice and easy to make

I suspect a cantillon kriek would give it a very nice edge to it

That sounds really nice. Yet another reason to get an ice cream maker. I heard sorbet works well with weiss beer as well.

I made a Beer Jelly[/url:2lkiobha] using the same beer. It was great.
