8pm is a bit too late for me unfortunately so won't be able to taste the cask version, but I have tried it from the bottle and it's great. The whiskey flavours are quite subtle (unlike a lot of whiskey barrel aged beers) - it's wonderful. Very easy drinking. I hope it becomes an annual production
