Yes it would make sense! Unfortunately I have decided against making the trip this time (Irish Rail fares didn't help!). I really hope to make my third trip to the Winter ales and Cask fest though in Feb 2013.

Looks like I'll be in Bantry that day... Where's a good place to stay in Cork that's close to the Franciscan Wells (I usually stay in Isaacs when I'm in Cork)...

Isaacs would mean you have a nice route to/from the Well, passing the Abbott Ale House and the Bierhaus, if you want to do a tour!

The River Lee Hotel on Western Rd is maybe a 10 minute walk tops.

8pm is too late for me unfortunately, will have to make do with the bottled version

GOBE do returns for €20 or Aircoach for €18, 3 hours on bus so not much longer than train.
