Kavanagh's are launching their cask beers, going to have 5 casks(!) on with plenty of tasters etc etc. Will find out more details if I can.

Might pop in myself anyway.

5 casks...sounds great! Does anyone else have that many on? Black sheep maybe?

Where is kavanaghs?

Kavanaghs is on Lower Dorset St just opposite Berminghams Pub. They have two casks on already, one from Spire Brewery in Chesterfield - Sgt Pepper Stout (laced with cracked black pepper) and Brampton Brewery - Golden Bud Especiale, a fantastic IPA style ale, doesn't drink anywhere NEAR it's 5.8 abv.
The Black Sheep have 3 active hand pulls with a further one in the pipeline. The Brew Dock also have a hand pull as do The Bull and Castle at Christchurch.

They had two on the last night I was in the black pepper stout and the joker ipa. I'm looking forward to the 5 cask night! I'll run it by the committee before i start a list but I should be there for a few scoops! I'll probably be late but most likely be alot for a scoop!

I'll have to make a special effort to pop in for this launch. I'll be in work until 8.30 that night, but should be able to pop in afterwards.
