Anyone going to Bloom? 13 years 10 months ago #1

Haven't been before myself and I'm considering going in today. Is Saturday traditionally the busiest day? Would I be nuts to go in? Do I have to be into gardening and stuff (I'm not) for it to be worthwhile?

I'm heading down country to visit the South East Battalion tomorrow so today is my only option.

Oh, just saw this now (phone connection in the middle of the park isn't the best), so I presume you decided not to go (or did I miss you?).

A lot of people seem to come to Bloom with no interest in gardening. Within the Food village section you have plenty of food stalls, food markets, cooking demos, and of course the Bloom Inn. It's a nice place to pass a day.

No, you didn't miss me... Unfortunately the bit of tiling I was doing took way longer than it was supposed to and by the time I was finished it was starting to rain, so I decided to leave it for another year.

Leixlip Festival is on aswell so Bloom was a hard sell for the wife+kids.

Excellent line up at the "Bloom Inn"...All the big players were there..and to think, I was pissed because the misses was dragging me along to look at the flowers <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D --> man I was delighted when I saw the beer tent!!!

Galway Hooker had already run dry by the time I got there, Had the O'Haras lightly smoked ale, Very nice indeed.

Can't wait for "Bloom" next year..
