Well impressed with Ballyblack stout, Darkstar APA was a unanimous soaraway Beer of the Festival, Bowman Elderado was a really interesting elderflower bitter and Leeds Midnight Bell was one of the most interesting milds I've ever met.

andrew Offline Posts: 3334	Yes, Dark Star's APA was voted #1 with our group too. With Blue Monkey's BG Tips following very closely behind. I also enjoyed Centurions Ghost which is a black IPA, which had the whole group perplexed as I had to go meet a client right after I ordered it, so I left it on the table and came back half an hour later to cries of 'what the hell is that.'

It's down as a "strong bitter" in the programme. Otley Oxymoron was being passed off as the black IPA but it just tasted like a hoppy porter to me, rather like Wrassler's.

hmmm, you might be right, I'll have to check the program. I agree with you on the Oxymoron though.
