A few Beoir members were at it... how was it lads?

Rather excellent. And they gave me the CAMRA discount because I was a Beoir member.

I had a great day. Well impressed with Ballyblack stout, Darkstar APA was a unanimous soaraway Beer of the Festival, Bowman Elderado was a really interesting elderflower bitter and Leeds Midnight Bell was one of the most interesting milds I've ever met.

Yes, Dark Star's APA was voted #1 with our group too. With Blue Monkey's BG Tips following very closely behind. I also enjoyed Centurions Ghost which is a black IPA, which had the whole group perplexed as I had to go meet a client right after I ordered it, so I left it on the table and came back half an hour later to cries of 'what the hell is that.'

hmmm, you might be right, I'll have to check the program. I agree with you on the Oxymoron though.
