West Dublin/North Kildare meetup? 14 years 5 months ago #1

Myself and Dempsey are gauging the interest in doing a meetup in the Lucan County (beside the Spa Hotel) seeing as everyone else is doing meetups!

There is a bus stop outside that every provincial bus stops at as well as the 66/A/B and the 67, so it's actually pretty easy to get to from places like Clane, Celbridge, Leixlip, Maynooth, Palmerstown, Galway etc....

The LC has Galway Hooker, Trouble Ór and Dark Arts, all on tap, and is quite reasonably priced too. €4 for GH, and €3.50 for the other two.

Any interest?

I'm interested in something that is not restricted by being before payday.....the B&C meetings never suit being just before payday.
If it's timed right I can get hammered and get a taxi, perfick. Would they allow the homebrew element like the B&C does?

Re the homebrew bit. I don't know, it hadn't occurred to me, but I could ask.

There'd be no hard and fast day. Just something that suits everyone.

Cannot see the owner agreeing to allow this,he is old school, you come to my pub and I sell you beer, imagine that ,however he is a big supporter of the craft beer scene and promotes it all the time, not the kind of place for the trendies so you need not dress up.

What about a corking charge, tell him it's a club meeting, get a flat rate corking charge per man, and after one or two meets, he'll be happy that we'll actually be helping his profits in an enthusiastic way rather than damaging them?

Rather than ruling it out let me ask. You never know.
