TOPIC:

This is a meeting to see if there is enough interest in a Beoir meetup as well as an ICB meetup. The first difference is that members will not be required to bring their own craft brew, this event is to just meet and talk about craft beer. There are also ideas to do blind-tastings and brewery meetups but this first event is just really to gauge if there is any interest in doing this on top of the ICB meet.

Against The Grain have been very interested in doing something with us, so in order to 'spread the love' I have been in discussion with them and they're on board. Also the idea is to have this meetup 2 weeks before/after the ICB one, giving people plenty of time to sober up between the two. And it is on a Wednesday rather than Thursday as there seems to be enough people interested in having a meet on that night.

So the details are (if you haven't read the title):

Date: Wednesday, 9th November
Time: 7pm
Venue: Against The Grain, Wexford Street.

Anyway, great idea, Andrew and well done to Against the Grain for facilitating it. I doubt I'll be able to come along until the New Year but hopefully it'll be well established by then.

It does. I got a lot of feedback from people at the Beerfest who are signed up to beoir.org but won't come to any of the meetings because they don't homebrew. I did point out that it was not a pre-requisite but that did not dispel the reticence.
