Hey,

I've just moved up from Cork to Dublin and want to plan an evneing of Irish beer tasting for some of my co-workers. Does anyone know where'd be most open to doing this? The numbers would be between 16-20 and I'd like to organise some finger food to accompany it too. I think it's a great opportunity for me to help showcase Irish beers. The crowd going are mostly exclusive lager drinkers so I'd like to combine some non-patronising/snobish education with some great beer. A showcasing of equipment and maybe even a small talk on the actual process of brewing. I'd know most of that myself but would be great if there was a pub open to this too. I'm willing to put in the leg work to go the extra mile for this too.

Any suggestions folks?

Three pubs imediately spring to mind.

City Centre: The Bull and Castle[/url:bwysg0u7].

A little to the North: L. Mulligan Grocer[/url:bwysg0u7]

A little to the south: Against The Grain[/url:bwysg0u7]

Be as patronising all you want, just dont let them know that you are,
as regards where to go,you have the Bull and castle which also serves food,as does Mulligans (manor street). If you want to see some brew equipment then Messr,s Maguire o'connell bridge and the porterhouse parliament street.

Contact Mel at Messrs McGuires. She can give you the talk, show you round her brewery, arrange tastings, finger food what ever - Just ask

Are you back off holidays yet Mel?
