BBC Christmas Drinks? 15 years 3 months ago #1

Hi guys,

I was just wondering what ever happened to that beer we brewed up for the BBC those many months ago? I think we only got 2 fermenters out of it? Any chance there's another BBC coming up, would love to have another group brew session.

With the power cuts and what not, the FV that Rebel/Peter did didn't turn out well, so I did another one at home and combined it with the one I did on the day. Brought it back to the well and they casked it, and it was drunk the middle of December. I thought it was pretty good, but a bit sweet, as might have been cold conditioned a bit soon. A bottle that I took out of the second batch was a lot drier and hoppier. Apologies, if you were missed off the invite, as it didn't go out on the general forum.

How did the Ale that you did on the day turn out? I know that you had a few challenges, but poresume that it was nice enough, as think you entered it into the Trouble Brewing competition.

Not sure what the future of the BBC is at the moment.

Cheers,
Billy.

Ah that's a shame I missed out! Ah well, next time.

My brew turned out great, best one I ever made. Was very like a more caramelly sierra nevada pale ale, all cascade hop aromas.

Hopefully there's another BBC some time anyway.

I am afraid I have not been on the site much lately combination of factors including fall out from burst pipe in house in early December and increased workload which gives absolutely no time by day to even look at the net!!!!

How do people feel about having another ICB Neet soon or will we wait until after thw Winter Alew week-end at the well weekeend of 11th to 13th February. There will be many casks on there that week-end and hopefuly will be well supported,

If poeple wish we could just arrange that as many of us to go there say on the Friday night and arrange a meet after that.

what do yo think????

I wouldn't mind a meetup soon enough or a bit before the cask festival, as can't guarantee I will be around for that.

Maybe throw a date or two out there, and see who's around?

Cheers,
Billy.
