Popped into Bierhaus last night for an early sample of Oktoberfest week-end and certainly was not disappointed.

The Schenkerla Marzen on draught was superb – my first time having in on draught. Definitely the highlight of the night for me. Also really impressed with the Schenkerla weiss in bottle. Never had a smokey weiss before and will definitely be having this one again.

Also had a glass of Golden Draak which has been a guest beer on for the last few weeks which is excellent as always and finished the night off with Oyster Stout which was excellent as always.

Also had a sample of the Weissenoher Old Franconian Festbeer and must say I thought it tasted very nice – will definitely try a pint of this over the next couple of days.

Bierhaus decked out in Oktoberfest colours, table clothes etc. and looked very well. Music every night over week-end (no jazz!!) and barbecue also over week-end.

Kudos to Dave for putting together a great line up of beers for this week-end. Lots of guest bottles including a range of Brewdog beers making their debut in the Bierhaus. Cheers Dave!!!!

Well worth a visit over the week-end for anyone in Cork – and also the Franciscan Well of course!!!
