It's that time of year again. The Porterhouse will be running their annual ten day celebration of Belgian beer, beginning with launch parties in all of their Irish locations this Thursday the 15th of July, at 6pm.

Festival Draught Beers include:

NEWTON APPLE 3.5% ABV

FRULI 4.1% ABV

BLANCHE DE BRUXELLES 4.5% ABV

GOUDEN CAROLUS CLASSIC 8.5% ABV

BOON KRIEK 4.5% ABV

ST.BERNARDUS TRIPEL 8.0% ABV

A few of us from ICB will be heading along to The Porterhouse Parliament Street to join in the fun. If you would like to join us, please PM me with your real name and I'll pass it along to the Porterhouse, so you get on the list.

i'll be heading up on saturday the 24th, i gotta say though that i'm disappointed with the draught line up.

Agreed.

Am I counting 4 out of 6 beers with added fruit of one variety or another? That's a fairly narrow (or maybe just marketable) take on Belgian beer.

Which is not to say I won't be along for some St. Bernardus Tripel at some stage...
