Suggestion - swap/meet 18 years 9 months ago #1

I have a few beer related books - Michael Jackson's 500 Great Beers and Great Beer's of Belgium. Roger Protz's 300 beers to try before you die, The Good Beer Guide (probably only useful to people travelling to the UK, but does have some interesting articles and info on every brewer in Britain) and some book called Drinks which has loads of good stuff on beer as well as wine, spirits and cocktails. I forget who wrote it but its very good.

Anyway, my suggestion is that if anyone wants to borrow any of these books they're welcome (not all at once, I'd having to read in the jacks). It might be fun to incorporate a book swap thing with the tasting night. What do you think?

I have
"Around Bruges in 80 Beers"
"The Good Beer guide"
"Good Beer guide Belgium"
"Good Beer Guide Germany"
for swap, loan, viewing, whatever.

I also have Jacksons 500 Beers book. Nice for leafing through. I intend getting that 300 beers to try before you die book actually. I have it saved in an Amazon shopping cart along with 5 other beer-related books that I must order soon...

I think it's a great idea, and will provide more excises for people to meet up later. (Where's my damn book?! <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D -->)

I have Ken Wells' "Travels With Barley-A Journey Through Beer Culture in America" and would be willing to lend it out in exchange for another beer-related book for a bit. It is a decent read on beer and culture in the US, although not necessarily written for beer geeks. Perhaps a trade at the tasting session on the 19th at the Bull & Castle?

Great. I'll bring a couple of my books.
