This was a great event. My only regret was I didnt get to stay longer. I was delighted to get a chance to sample many of the brews I have seen discussed on this site over the year and to get to hear firsthand the brewers tales of success and woe. Well done to John and all the crew at Oslo for organising what I hope will be at least an annual event. Also kudos to the home brew west crew for keeping the home brew flag flying at the event.

Recovered enough to comment now....

That was an excellent event. The location is perfect (able to bring family in campervan and intersperse beer drinking with swimming etc), the bar is great (their bar food was excellent for those who wanted a change from the barbeque). Most of all though, the event was good. I've been to many festivals, on both sides of the counter, and there is usually a beer or two that should not be there... This time though, I tasted every beer (hic...) and while I didn't like them all, they were all of high quality - well done to all the brewers involved.

If anybody is communicating with the organisers, the only change I would suggest for future events is to have half pint glasses. I overheard many people (mainly, but not exclusively, female) complaining about holding pint glasses. The breweries also inevitably ended up pouring more than half pints into the glasses for 1 token, but I doubt they were overly concerned about that.
