Fun test. I wouldn't really drink Irish Reds much but I was able to identify most of them.

O'Haras red was my favourite closely followed by Rebel Red.

The other three weren't good at all. Smithwicks and Bass were watery and tasteless. I couldn't tell any difference between them. Surprisingly so I thought Smithwicks did taste of something but obviously not. The Kilkenny wasn't pleasant, there was a nasty taste to it as it warmed up.

Shamefully late with this, but the full write-up[/url:20xb33hf] is now online. And I've started a new thread for the blowback here[/url:20xb33hf].

good write up. An easy follow up as suggested by TBN could be a taste off between bitters and reds. We could do that with what's available in bottles.

What bitters/reds can you get in bottles?
Smithwicks, McArdles, Bass, Carlow, Dungarvin,Clanconnel on the reds.

I don't think I've ever seen bottled Bass.
