Just sampled my coffee stout and it does not taste good. Which is annoying as it looks and smells lovely. I'll still bring a bottle for post mortem purposes, maybe someone can advise me as to what went wrong.

Its been quite a while since I've been able to make it to a meet, but I can actually make it this time. I'll be rushing my DIPA by 1 1/2 weeks so it probably won't be carbonated yet and it'll only have the first dry hop additions done, but I'd love to get feedback even at this stage. Its insanely bitter, hoppy, and high in alcohol so drinker beware. <!-- s;) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_wink.gif" alt="" title="Wink" /><!-- s;) -->

Hi Folks,
I have an ale which suffered a severe stuck mash. I ended up having to strain/squeeze it through a (clean!) pillow case. I thought it would be crap but actually it ended up pretty good. I used Challenger and Pilgrim hops, so under the circumstances I called it "Challenged Pilgrim". I'll bring two bottles to give hope to all those who feel a stuck mash means 'game over'.
Also, another ale I thought would be really tasty turned out wanting. I'll bring a bottle and would really appreciate any post-mortem advice.
