atticus Offline Posts: 820	Was there on Saturday before the match. It was actually alright for what it was. Good atmosphere and nice enough food. Ridiculously expensive compared to a similar fanfest thing I was at in Stuttgart a couple of years back, but that's Ireland for ya!

But, yes, as has been said - Paulaner and few kinds of sausage and that's about it. For my money, the Christmas market in Belfast is far better - both for faux-German atmosphere and beer!

Just like in Munich the Paulaner festzelt only sells their own Oktoberfest beer.

They were only selling the Masskrugs in the big tent – plastic 500ml glasses only at street level.

Probably because it’s on their door step and is a lot cheaper than flying to Munich .Most of the people there it was the closest they will ever get (or want to get) to the real thing.
