Yes what a fantastic day. Most generous hospitality from Cualan and crew. Really enjoyed the great beers and the spit roast was only mighty -fantastic soakage!!!! The weather could not have been better either.

I really admire Cualan's ethos. We have known well before know what great brews he can do but can only wish him every success in the future. Also looking forward to the cask aged stouts next easter.

Thanks again Cualan for the hospitality and for a fantastic day.

Oh - and great to meet all other ICB-ers who made it - a few faces I had not met before.

Thanks to Cuilán for inviting us down for a fantastic day out. It was very interesting to look round the brewery. The barrel aged stout is going to be a very interesting beer, can't wait to try it again at Easter.

Hopefully we'll be seeing more White Gypsy beers around soon.

I too had a fantastic but short visit. I really found Cuilin inspiring and what he has achieved and what he is trying to achieve is very admirable indeed. His vision and work ethic have got him where he is but he freely admits that a huge amount of luck was involved too. With hurdle after hurdle in front of him it is amazing he has been able to clear so many and have the ambition to keep going .

His plans for the future sound great. Growing ingredients locally and getting the community involved in all aspects will hopefully bring people onside. I look forward to a fresh hop ale and the barrel aged imperial stout and hopefully a few other interesting brews in the near future.

Sounds great. I'd be interested in what kinds of hurdles he has had to jump and the overall future plans. Anyone doing an article on the brewery?

there was a top secret briefing at the start and then a waiver we had to sign and then all photos were vetted and background checks done prior to entering so I am not sure if we should but what I will say is I have not seen so many large bellies in one place at one time ever. HUGE investment went into some of them. <!-- s:shock: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_eek.gif" alt="" title="Shocked" /><!-- s:shock: -->

Thanks to Cuilan for Saturday. Not only can the guy make some mighty tasty beers but he throws a damn fine party too. Also, thanks to all the ICB folk for tolerating a novice such as I. Special thanks to Mr. Billings for the Q and A sessions on the train.
