A Taste of Dublin 18 years 11 months ago #1

You may remember that this event was discussed in some forum on this site a coouple of months back, so I apologise because I didn't manage to find the thread.

Anyway, I received an email yesterday from the organisers stating that there will be no Leffe Beer Academy at the event. This is a last minute withdrawal by the Leffe people, and despite having them included on the latest printed flyers for the event.

He concluded "Our Website <!-- w --><a class="postlink" href="www.tasteofdublin07.ie">www.tasteofdublin07.ie now has a list of everyone taking part
and a layout plan. We are hoping that there will still be enough to be of
interest for you."

So the Porter House is the only Irish brewer present? Was there anyone else last year?

The Carlow brewing company were there, but they seemed to be just selling presentation boxes of their beers. The Porterhouse did have a good set-up though.

All in all I was very disappointed with last years event. I spent a fortune and went away having had a few very small taster portions of food.

I notice Eason's is on the list. Would that be as a supplier of homebrew gear? Do they still do that?
