A friend in Cork said he saw signs for some sort of beer thing next weekend (not this one).

He said its on in some pub that has more beers than anywhere else in Ireland so I am thinking Bierhaus (never been).

What sucks is I am going to Cork this weekend not the following weekend <!-- s:? --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_confused.gif" alt=":?" title="Confused" /><!-- s:? -->

more beers than anywhere else, hmmm, sounds to me like it might be the abbots, they were talking of doing some sort of beer festival in the off-licence, over 300 types of beer.

I've seen posters about for a beer fest out in Pine Lodge in Myrtleville over the bank holiday weekend. Looks nice, I must say. For a pub that isn't a specialist when it comes to their beer stock it's got a decent selection, and it's a lovely spot. More beers than anywhere else in Ireland is a bit of a stretch though...
