Lads,
Is it just me or are there no trains stopping at Lisburn at all at the moment. I have been checking the irish rail website and looking at the journey planner and timetables and none of the trains seem to stop there <!-- s:( --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" title="Sad" /><!-- s:( -->

If the train is not an option then this would seriously dent my interest in going...Not going to a beer festival and not drinking beer!! anyone else know what the story is with the train schedule?

Change at Portadown for Hilden. Or go into Belfast and come back out. The former is slightly quicker.

According to Rossa (to whom I'll be sending the fare-dodging fine invoice should this not work out), if you buy a return ticket to Belfast you don't need another when you hop out at Portadown for the Hilden train. You can also use the same ticket if you go on from Hilden to Belfast.

It all sounds very common-sensical, which is why I'm deeply suspicious.
