hi guys I and two buddies will be travelling up to dublin on the 18th, staying in the christchurch area, is anyone up for a few drinks in the b&c or porterhouse?

Sorry I won't be around that weekend.

The b&c will be running til 2.30 am on saturdays, and i'm sure we'll have some cask beer and some other gems hidden away. Pop in and say hello to me.

silenus do you advertise the cask beer in the upstairs bar? I was in on Friday at around 10:30pm and was drafted up the side stairs to the busy upstairs bar. Once inside I went down the main stairs and ordered a pint of cask from the bar. There was hardly anyone downstairs and I'm sure nobody upstairs knew there was a cask down there. But then most of them probably wouldn't care <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt="" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) -->

Can't promise anything but I will see if I can make it in. I can stay at the parents house in Dublin.

Thats the problem, the night time beerhall has a different crowd with their own set of needs. Cask Beer is not one of them.
There are plans to advertise the cask properly, on both levels, but not until next month.
You were unlucky the other night as myself and declan where off, we would have put you in there. Downstairs closes at 12.30, but down the line if needed, it will remain open.
