I guess not, I just assumed he wouldn't be interested anymore if I wasn't there. Only joking, twas but a late night mistake.

A great night lastnight, and had some really tasty beers, too many to remember the specifics of. I really liked Bigears' Pale ale, to be honest i'm stealing the recipe and going to attempt to copy it as soon as i get some Amarillo hops! Also his wheat stout was lovely. There was another nice stout there too, I think it was Saruman's, but at the rate bottles were being opened it was hard to keep track. I liked Bighair's Dobbinworthy too. And to finish, silenus-NB's mother's homemade baileys was fantastic, really creamy and sweet, you could drink bottles of the stuff!

A great night and fun to be kicked out of the Bull and Castle with the barmaid telling us she wants to home.

Lots of fantastic beer, A pity Goeff did not show with his strawberry beer.

I loved bigears pale ale though. Fantastic stuff.

Highlights for me were Bigears's amazing wheat stout and Saruman's Raspberry beer. Honorable mentions for the Clotworthy clone and sbillings's porter (which I'd be passing off as a mild if I'd made it).

Great to meet Javierkpm, and I'm to pass on apologies from charmon who got stuck in a meeting.

And best of all, in keeping with the Bull & Castle's status as Ireland's leading specialist and craft beer pub, we had a visit from the Sol girls. In fairness the one who came to our table really stuck to her guns in pitching her product, in the face of what can only be called a tough crowd (well, it could also be called, with some degree of accuracy, Kenmc).

Sol, you may be interested to know, is made from wheat and does not contain hops. She was quite sure about that.

Wheat and no hops, I thought everyone knew that? That is what makes it such a superior product to Corona of course. Corona does not have enough wheat and way too many hops.

Sorry I couldn't make it yesterday. Sounds like there were some great beers on show. Any chance you might post the recipe for your Wheat Stout Bigears? <!-- s:wink: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_wink.gif" alt="" title="Wink" /><!-- s:wink: -->
