Too much to hope for I'd say. 2 auld fellas sitting at the bar drinking Guinness asked Geoff what the stuff in the corner was (meaning the cask). Then proceeded to order 2 more pints of Guinness . You really can't teach an old dog new tricks.

The green 'blonde' was flying out the door though.

Super brew by Liam. he was telling me he used choc malt, wheat, caramalt and raw barley for smoothness in the mouth. great on cask. keep up the good work and please give us more cask beer

It would be great to see specials or seasonal brews appearing on cask at the Bull & Castle from time to time.
Do we know if any of the Carlow brewing company read this forum?

i think Liam is aware of it alright. they seem to export a lot of casks to the uk so they have the facility to do it but the market here is the problem. if they knew they would sell they would certainly do it was the impression i got last night.

Yes, he was also saying it's a hell of a lot easier for them to brew for cask than keg.

As ever, the problem is Irish drinkers.

We'll have to try and start a campaign. Maybe a cask festival of some sort.
