I was asked last night if it's likely to be crowded and got this reply from someone who knows[/url:6juv87fs]:
[quote:6juv87fs]Crack of the morning is the best time to do the open brewing, if you can get up that early. At that time it's just the hardcore, chatting up Jean and munching on free croissants. The mob starts to thicken around noon, just in time to escape for lunch. Or to escape for ZBF, I should add.[/quote:6juv87fs]
If it does get uncomfortably crowded, nipping across to the Zythos Beer Festival[/url:6juv87fs] might be a good idea. Either way, it looks like being there early doors is the thing to do.

Anyone know how things work on the day? On the website it mentions "Guided tours every 2 hours" Apart from these, can you wonder around and stay as long as you like?

I just noticed that the ZBF is in Sint-Niklaas, 50km from Brussels - I had assumed it was in Brussels too... wonder how easy it is to get from one to the other.

I'm looking at going on this trip as a strong possibility at the moment. Has any one done anything on the accommodation front?

Not yet, but soon. Will let you know if I find anything interesting. As close as possible to Gare du Midi (Brussel Zuid) is to be preferred, I guess.
