I won't be there either sadly. I'm working tomorrow and also need a clear head to prepare for exams over the weekend.

Anyway good luck to the good ship Ogham Festival and all who sail with her.

A very big thank you to both Séan Billings and John Duffy for their involvement on our judging panel at the OghamBrew Samhain 2008 Festival on Friday night in Na Fianna, Glasnevin.

The guys, along with OghamBrew head judge George and Richie, had the arduous task of sampling and evaluating a total of 19 beverages on the night. We would further like to thank them for their detailed feedback on the beers at the Festival.

OghamBrew has grown significantly in one year, and the nature of our association and festivals is, as such, constantly evolving. We had three extract entries on Friday last, and we hope to swell the ranks of the teams entering extract and all-grain for the next Festival. Some of the current kit brewers we hope will naturally progress to extract and/or all-grain.

Should numbers permit, we intend, in all likelihood, to introduce a series of categories at the next event, and thus reward brewers at different stages e.g. kit, extract, all-grain.

With that in mind, we would like to extend a warm welcome to all members of ICB, regardless of their level of expertise, to enter their beers/wines in the next OghamBrew Festival.
