Phew. I was nearly booking a flight home!

I just arrived in Bavaria this morning, and I mentioned trying to get a visit to Weihenstephan. You get funny reactions. Most people don't seem to thnk much of their beers. I can't say as I've never tried them. Will have to see if I can wrangle a trip into München.

Incidentally, you were mentioning the joy of Weihenstephan dairy products recently. According to Wikipedia, while the brewery and college are still state-owned, the dairy has been sold off to Müller.

Ok, when I say "most people" I mean the three or four in this office that I have mentioned my desire to visit Weihenstephan to. Maybe they are just trying to avoid bringing a paddy to a brewery in case they never make it out...

I also think they may not be local... <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D -->

I'll have to tell my office to stop buying their milk so. I was wondering why my coffee felt like having a Müller moment even though I had no lid to lick!

I guess it also proves that 'most people' don't know good beer when they see it.
