Sweeneys Off Licence Beer Club 17 years 6 months ago #1

I was in Sweeneys on Sunday and noticed they run a beer tasting club. I received an email yesterday evening explaining how it works

The first tasting night is in Sweeneys Off Licence in Glasnevin on 7th of October at 7pm. There will be a selection of 8 German beers (beers not mentioned) with a cover charge of €10. Any further info can be obtained from <!-- e --><a href="This email address is being protected from spambots. That's brilliant. Mind you, you'd want a fair bit for your tenner.

Theres also a 10% discount for members on the night

World Wide Wines in Waterford do similar tastings, and will have beer tastings every Thursday night through October. Not sure about cover charges though.

Jesus.
We don't have a decent off licence in Carlow let alone a beer tasting club! <!-- s:cry: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_cry.gif" alt=":cry:" title="Crying or Very sad" /><!-- s:cry: -->
Nearest thing we have is a few boys sharing Dutch Gold around the fountain.
Now ye know why I live vicariously through everyones posts and blogs.
(Cue violins)

Maybe I should start one.

Doesn't look like the 10 euro cost would have been worth it to me...but maybe for people who haven't tried these beers before it is

The second night is on Tuesday the 4th of November and there will be 8 English ales for tasting
