Molly's is very small, i did not see a public bar or brewery, although the entrance to the yard say restaurant-brewery.

Also I did not see any sing of brewing equipment but it was night time nor did the staff say anything about a brewery on site or in the future

Interesting. Thanks.

Regarding the Beer of the Festival award, would I be right in thinking that, out of the list we have, the field is limited to:

Druid
Irish Coffee
UCC Bock
UCC Lager
MM Best
Franciscan Well Cask
<!-- s:?: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_question.gif" alt=":?:" title="Question" /><!-- s:?: -->

i.e. beers that are specifically brewed for festival purposes, regardless of other festivals that they may have appeared at, or availability elsewhere.

I would rule out seasonals like MM Imperial and special editions like O'Hara's Celebration as being not festivally enough.

Comments?

Does anyone know if the Celebration is on tap? I was hoping to pick up a couple of bottles while in Cork.

I was assuming bottles.

I'd say kegging or casking would make it a different animal. Actually, it'd be superb casked, with the carbonation toned down a bit.

Good. A few take outs may be in order so, if I don't get as far as the Abbot.
