Victory 'Pint' Night / Tap Takeover, Salt House, Oct 13th 10 years 6 months ago #1

Victory Brewing is taking over the tap tower at the Salt House in Galway on Tuesday, October 13th. Victory's Deanna Tully will there handing out samples of Headwaters Pale Ale, HopDevil IPA, and Storm King Imperial Stout. Like what you taste? Buy a Victory pint (16oz) and keep your glass.

Great idea, and hopefully one which won't always be confined to Galway <!-- s:wink: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_wink.gif" alt=":wink:" title="Wink" /><!-- s:wink: -->

But, I don't think it's legal to advertise just "16 oz pints" in Europe: you must have the metric measure on there as well. Of course, enforcement of consumer law in the Irish drinks industry is so laughably poor there's zero chance of actually getting into trouble over it, but I figured since this is a beer consumers' website, it should be pointed out.

Possibly OK to use the metric volume 473ml an drop the oz/piny?

No need to drop anything but the metric measurement does have to be there.

16 oz pints are an American thing.

Is this an American beer?
