SOURFEST 2015 10 years 10 months ago #1

Won't be news for anyone who follows my blog or is a Beer Ireland member but just like to let you know that myself and Matthew in Boundary Brewing will be hosting Sourfest this coming September at Boundary's premises in Belfast. Sourfest is a pro/am competition and as such is open to all professional and amateur brewers in the UK and Ireland. We're looking for the best in sour and funky beers. No this will not be a BJCP sanctioned competition! Prize categories will be based on entries received and have yet to be decided, but the prizes themselves are shaping up nicely.

Two updates on this everyone: firstly anyone in the greater Dublin area (or passing the Leixlip/Lucan direction) can drop beers into me. Just contact me to arrange.

Second is the cost of 2nd and subsequent entries has been dropped (homebrewers only, pros are on a different pricing system) to encourage folks to enter more. Good luck to everyone who has entered!

Another couple of updates on this.

The winning amateur brewer will get a day out with Matthew in Boundary and will get to brew their own wild beer, which will then be bottled and released upon the world!

The other update is that you can drop entries to the RDS during the craft beer festival, to the WHITE HAG stand. I will be on the stand myself, but if I'm not around Joe will look after your bottles for you. This applies to both amateur and professional entries.
