On March 5th Rising Sons will launch a new collaboration beer in memory of the survivors of the Lusitania disaster. Working with Beara Irish Brewing Company in New Hampshire "Survivor" is a mid Atlantic pale ale (Irish malt, American hops) The beer is hazy orange in colour with a big citrus aroma. It tastes of Tangerine, lemon zest and tropical fruit, making for a refreshing, complex beer perfect for the start of spring.
The beer will be launched at a special commemorative evening at the brewery on March 5th where Declan Keegan, grandson of Lusitania survivor May Barret will pull the 1st pint. In a simultaneous ceremony Rising Sons owner Cliona McCabe and her husband Benny McCabe will be guests of the Beara Irish Brewery at the RiRa pub in New Hampshire and will pull the 1st pint there.
