You would think more would have seeing as there is so damn many of them now. Hope there is a lot of cask

That's part of the problem with cask in Ireland, it's not popular with the breweries. Also, vewry few pubs know how to handle it so even though a brewery produces a decent cask, factors like insufficient stillage, non-venting and selling the beer well after it's gone off, means the punter is less likely to seek out cask.

I thought it was a popular festival. Since the well are staffing the event is presume they are also looking after all the casks?

It's early days yet and a lot of breweries aren't BI members. I'd say they'll have the usual turnout.

That was 5 out of Beer Ireland, but not all brewers, especially the more established ones are members.

I hope to be there on the Saturday as usual.
