B&C Tasting Session Numbers 18 years 2 months ago #1

Hi All,

Geoff and Declan have kindly offered[/url:111u6oke] to host a combined "goodbye to me[/url:111u6oke]" and tasting evening in the Beer Hall of the Bull and Castle. This is to be held on the 7th of February up in the Beer Hall from 7:30pm (I'll be there from 7 at the latest!).

The idea is that, unlike last time, this is a free-style tasting evening where you can bring whatever brew styles you happen to have. There'll be no schedule of tasting, simply a group of people swapping bottles to bring home, opening bottles on the spot, tasting, sharing, nibbling (food!), and having a bit of craic.

This thread is to get an idea of numbers so Geoff and Declan can plan accordingly. [b:111u6oke]Please, [i:111u6oke]please [/i:111u6oke]don't post general chat here, or posts telling us that you can't go. [/b:111u6oke]Makes it hard for my brain to count numbers Use this thread[/url:111u6oke]to discuss the event and convey regret if you can't make it. If you can go, just pop a post under here, and maybe give us an idea of what you are bringing

For non-brewers, Geoff and Declan said "[i:111u6oke]non brewers should definately bring something they think is worth it[/i:111u6oke]". By that I read something that they wouldn't mind you bringing in to their Beer Hall and opening (and them drinking)!

Thanks again guys for offering to host this, and hopefully we'll get a good few people along depite it being a school night, and in Dublin.

PS, this counts as my post saying I'll be there, and will probably be bringing some of the last bottles of our 1783 Revolution Ale, which I class as an American Pale Ale, our Larkfield Bomber IPA (English hops, but maybe not enough of them), and the "famous" Mulligan Porter #2.

[b:111u6oke][u:111u6oke]The count so far:[/u:111u6oke][/b:111u6oke] [size=75:111u6oke]as of 5th Feb, am[/size:111u6oke]

I'll be along with some porter and an IPA.

I plan to be there, hopefully with a couple of bottles of Quilmes or something Argentenian. If the nasty customs men don´t take it from me...

Count me and MrsBeerNut in. I can bring some Brewdog stuff if anyone's interested: The Physics, Punk IPA and Rip Tide.

Yep, I'll be there, though not til after 9pm as I've a drama class first. If there's still some food and beer left that'd be great

Unfortunately I'm probably unlikely to have anything interesting to bring along, as I've already brought and shared the one bottle of Ruination I managed to smuggle out of New York, and my local offies, while good, don't stock anything all that unusual

I should be able to make it. But I won't be there until after 8, not sure what I will bring; might actually drink B&C beer!
