Keen to enter this one, it'll actually be my first comp ever. Just wondering, other than the BJCP guidelines, is there any other specific details I need to know? IE do we need to supply brewsheets on how it was made or that? Also when you say beer to be there on the night, as they wont be storing beer, I presume it's on the 27th you're referring too and not the 23rd (entry closing date)? You don't need anything except 4 bottles of your beer. You'll also need to tell them what category you're entering (stout, red ale, wheat beer etc...). A full list of the categories is available here:

I think they mean for us to drop them an email before the 23rd to give them an idea of numbers and to head in with our beers on 27th.

That's correct.
Study the bjcp styles as you get marked down if not to style.

Aye, think I have the entry beer to the BJCP Style from looking at some of the commercial examples in that link (& good ol' beersmith), it's not a stones throw away from their tastes. (sure I'll soon find out says you!) Might even have a second entry if my Brew-Schedule stays on course
