Hi Folks,

We're holding the fourth Home Brewers Cup in association with National Homebrew Club and Brewtonic on Sunday April 27th. The Event kicks off at 6.30pm. The event will follow the same format as last time. There will be four judges following the BJCP judging criteria. All entries will be required to enter their beers via email to myself (<!-- e --><a href="This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.">This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) by Thursday April 23rd. Entry is free. Maximum of 3 beers per person and you need to be there on the night. You'll need 4 bottle of your beer on the night. The following details are required when entering:

Although every effort will be made to seriously assess and judge each beer, I do stress as always the point of the competition is more about getting a lot of avid homebrewers and beer enthusiasts in the same room for the evening. Well done!

As you probably know 14 of us in the NHC are working towards formal BJCP recognition.

It would help us all if this comp was registered with the BJCP as as its being run to BJCP standards then judges would get judging points, likewise we can act as stewards and gain experience points.

Registration is straight foreward and only costs €30

We are way ahead of you on the BJCP thing. Myself and Rossa have been sorting out the details and Ian has already agreed to register as a BJCP event.

I'll be one of the judges again.

Having to be present on Thursday April 23rd excludes employed persons not living in Dublin.

I'll check that out with Ian.

Right, good news. You don't have to be there on the night personally. It's just that the beer needs to arrive that night. They are not storing beer.

So just nominate someone who will be there on the night and get your beer to them. As long as they show up that night it will be fine.
