Big Foot Barley Wine 16 years 3 weeks ago #1

Can anyone advise at what temperature this beast should be drunk at ? Bottle says "Serve chilled".

Whatever you like. I like to start it chilled and eventually it gets down to room temp so the best of both worlds.

More importantly with Bigfoot, I don't recommend drinking it if the label and the calendar are showing the same year. It's very harsh when it's fresh.

Aha. It's 2010 but the best before date is 22.01.11 which gives me a 3 week window.

I take it I can ignore the BB date with this one ?

Yup. The cynic in me suggests there's a blackboard somewhere in the Sierra Nevada brewery where 22nd January is chalked up as the release date of Bigfoot 2011 <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D -->

Anyway, with the four-for-a-tenner deal going now, you can always get more for aging if you want to give this one a go now. It's worth it.
