Not to get all BJCP or "to style" but a bock as an ale is that not pushing it a bit?

We didn't pick which beers were in each categories. So we were just told this is ale number 4 or whatever.

bock[/url:3jfgfgs6] appears not to have a good definition. What it does have "easter beer" and such this beer isnt.

Thanks to sbillings for his knowledgeable and unimpeachable judgments that should help Irish craft brewing (and the missus as well <!-- s:lol: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_lol.gif" alt="" title="Laughing" /><!-- s:lol: -->).

It's a strong lager what ever definition you put after it, unless it a wheat of course

Assuming it wasn't made with an ale yeast and just called bock for marketing reasons.
