It looks like a new craft beer pub opening soon in Kilkenny. It has the backing of the Carlow Brewing Company. A welcome arrival here as there is not a great choice in the pubs. Best of luck to them and more info here.....

Stephen (the manager) is a good lad, he worked the St.Patrick's Festival and seems genuinely interested in craft. Plus he was asking loads of questions about cask too so I'm assuming they'll be having an engine or two.

Be interesting to see if they push the boat out a bit on the bottled options, seems like a lot of congestion in the middle ground from existing offerings or am I being overly critical <!-- s:?: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_question.gif" alt=":?:" title="Question" /><!-- s:?: -->

excellent news. Kilkenny is getting a second craft bar soon also. I spoke with one of the established venues last week who is turning one of the bars within his premises into a craft bar similar to what Benny did in crane lane. update to follow shortly
