Was in here last night and was delighted to see they also now have Metalman Chameleon Garnet. So we ordered a few pints and they went down grand in their own glassware and all. Then I ordered 3 more pints and they definitely looked paler. So I figured it may be something to do with the last couple in the keg or something, but upon tasting, one of them was correct and 2 were so not the Garnet. I thought skanky Bud my friend thought Carlsberg but the 2 were really manky mainstream stuff. So check this out, I said to the barman thats not the Garnet, and 2 of the barmen said they just changed the keg and the brewery (Metalman) just send out a selection of kegs and they don't know what they're getting, but its one of the breweries other beers. I said its definitely not their pale ale cos I know my craft beers well. So at that I said I wanted 2 8degrees instead. Obviously the barmen didn't know who I was (Beer guy/member/taster/ whatever) who actually knows some shit about beer, so I hope Tim and Grainne read this and make the bar aware that this was spotted, selling some crap from Metalmans tap. Aaron, Beer secret service.

Never heard of that one, but if it is I'm sorry to say i won't be drinking it again. Does Brau taste like a macro or is there any hop flavour at all??

Hayden's had Bräu on tap a month or so ago. I wouldn't be surprised if it had gone back on rotation. It's quite mild and could easily be mistaken for a macro beer if you had been drinking something stronger beforehand.

The bar men have been up front about the fact that they know almost nothing about which Metalman beers are on tap at any particular time. That's not to excuse their ignorance. I think it probably reflects the fact they are not used to fielding questions about the beers they sell.
