I'll be in City Hall[/url:28iko1nu] in Newcastle in June and wondering can anyone recommend somewhere nearby that sells good beer. Never been to Newcastle before.

The Newcastle Arms was a great spot. Was there a couple of years ago.

The Weatherspoons just up from the train station had plenty of good cask ale on last time I was there. Its a busy spot, so quick turnover.

I see where they're learning about Irish Craft beer over there;

And no, I did not buy that Sunday paper!

The bit at the end is interesting; "Head Of Steam are working with an Irish tour operator to set up a five-day holiday around Irish micro-brewers, so that festival-goers can go and see where the beers came from"
