they have in the bleeding horse too, a reasonably price around 4.80 I think, been a while - maybe 2 months since I tried it.
I think it tastes better than erdinger, so i welcome it being more prevalent.

It's definitly a better beer than Erdinger. My point is that I think it tastes fantastic out of a bottle (maybe not quite up there with Schneider and Weihensteaphaner but close) but tastes quite ordinary on draught.

For one thing it's hard to turn the keg upside down and swirl it around to get the yeast back into suspension like you would with the bottles <!-- s:wink: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_wink.gif" alt="" title="Wink" /><!-- s:wink: -->

Thought it might have been something like that. To test my theory, I had a bottle of Erdinger over the weekend. I thought my opinion of Erdinger might have been tainted by drinking it on draught. I was wrong, it's still quite bland from a bottle. It was a refreshing Saturday afternoon beer garden drink though. Just not quite up there with its contemporaries.

BTW, I found Aldi in Rathmines doing bottles of SchofferHoffer for 1.79 a pop. Couple of cases of them there on thursday, if anyone is interested. Dunno if it's a regular stock item, never saw it before.

Crap. I was in there on Sunday and didn't notice it.
