Worst beer style to switch to after drinking a different one 14 years 8 months ago #1

Thats a problem i've found went beer tasting that after drinking one beer of one style and then switching to another the second one can taste quite bad. Had this going from a dark ale to trouble or, a pint which i normally really like but it didnt taste great after the previous.

So whats the worst switch that can be made so that I can avoid this in the future?
And maybe some suggestions as to the best switches?

I expect people will say from lighter to darker would be the general rule, right?

I reckon the other direction is just as bad!

E.G. not one I'm willing to try but Windjammer to budweiser, I reckon that wouldn't work... Sorry I had to go there!

I can't generally switch from Stout to anything else, it normally wrecks my taste buds.

Smoked beers wreak havoc on your taste buds, for sure.

This is a really interesting subject that I've heard very little about before.
