Actually the Bierhaus are separate owners.
The Oslo/Salthouse people also have a restaurant called Mustard down by the riverside that's very nice and does a good selection of beers.
Worth going to for some between pub grub or ya can just eat in the Oslo.
I wouldn't bother with Front Door or Quays tbh. Don't stock anything of interest at all, just the usual macro stuff in any other pub plus they're usually wedged and woefully uncomfortable.
Also O'Connells in Eyre Square has an ok selection plus it's a pretty cool bar, good mix of the old and new and the place to be is their beergarden on a sunny day.

Well, Galway was a great success. Only managed to hit 3 pubs, the Kings Head, Tig Choili and the Salt House (twice).

Watched the Ireland game in the salt House on Saturday night and sampled quite a few beers.

Bay Ale (tap), Trouble Brewing (tap), Helvick Gold (tap), Old Hooky (bottle), Hook Norton Twelve (bottle).

I thought the Bay Ale was outstanding and the pick of the bunch for me. More please!

Bay ale is available in Against the Grain of course so get yourself in there when you can.
