Definitely one of the better carveries, though still behind O'Neill's on Suffolk Street. The Maguire's evening menu has got really bad, however: they used to do a steak sandwich or chicken fillet burger with a pint of house beer for about €13, but no more.

Visited Messr Maugires 1.30-ish and had a pint of their Best Bitter and Rusty (red ale). Rusty was fairly good and the Bitter was very good I must say. First time there. Whatever about the surroudings the bitter was very well received. Also procured a bottle of MM Bock (6.5) and Porter (5%) for home consumption. Might try the carvery if up there again some time. Thanks guys
