I believe it still has Rebel Red (at least it did a month or so ago when a frined of mine was there).
As a Kinsale native I have been particularly appalled at the craft beer situation in Kinsale. For a town that sells itself on being the gourmet capital of Ireland its seems to to have completely missed what is a very big part of the modern food and drinks industry.Just finished a weeks training(yes about 25 hours training just to be a barman) for a bar job here in London.Spent 5 hours yesterday doing the beer training and learning how to match dishes to the most suitable beer style. The bar does wine aswell but their aware that some foods just don't work with wine eg spicy food. Maybe its a case of reps not venturing down south enough to reach Kinsale but when you see how well the little beer quarter down on the quays is doing it seems surprising that Kinsale has not picked up a few good beers. We don't make wine really(I'm sure someone will pop up with the name of a good Irish vineyard) so lets focus on what we do do well and that is beer.If your using local ingredients then why not use beer instead or side by side with wine. Its also doubly annoying because Kinsale used to have that great brewery with about 5 quality beers. Another case of grrrrrrrr Ireland I fear.
