IMO a big part of the reason why Craft is not pushed more in these so-called 'Gourmet' localities is because the likes of Heineken and Diageo sponsor events that draw crowds. Publicans are business people and are inclined to do whatever it tales to increase their sales volume and not necessarily pander to the desires of us outnumbered Crafties.

I worked in Heineken for a while and know for a fact that they fire a ton of cash at all sorts of events. Craft breweries cannot afford to do this.

Beer wasteland no more.I actually think the Folk house has been at this for more than a year and just no one noticed. Beoir needs to support the South more perhaps

Beoir is a community, it relies on people local to the specific locality to keep it updated. If someone knows of a new location where craft beer is being served please speak up. Otherwise how is "Beoir" to know about it?
