I didn't realise that Guinness attempted so many different styles at the time though. It must have failed because none of them exist today. I suppose they must be a little perplexed by the apparent rise in craft beer production and consumption yet their venture into it seemed to fail. You might think they could have continued to work on a small scale like the article states.

Yeah, they just vanished. I was under the impression that they were refining things because of that brewers tasting evening thing. I thought they be relaunched or something.

Here's my memento of those lost beers[/url:hj1g50xa] [size=75:hj1g50xa](Courtesy of The Duke)[/size:hj1g50xa]

I can't believe that the Indo rolled out the Guinness Light fiasco [i:3a8ae6hv]again[/i:3a8ae6hv]. It'd really put you off trying new things if you were a soulless mega-brewer.

Funny, I thought Breó came a bit after the James's Gate range. I'm the proud owner of a Breó fleece.

I think that's what the Brewhouse Series is: an attempt to woo the likes of us back to Mama Guinness's nitrogen-infused teat. Of course that's now falling back into mass production. Word has it[/url:3a8ae6hv] that North Star will be with us until October, despite the promise of a new (largely similar) stout every six months.

[/quote:329cz1p5]They were certainly overlapped a bit, but now I'm not sure which came first.

Not that it matters I suppose...

Brew No.1 (or was it No.1 Brew) by the Irish Brewing Company if i remember correctly. Drank that for ages, must have been around the same time as the James Gate beers, a really nice lager. Was very disappointed when they went out of business.

That was around for [i:1qm6g1b1]ages[/i:1qm6g1b1]. Dunnes used to do it. I hadn't realised it was gone.

BrewCrew[/url:1qm6g1b1] must be the kiss of death: they started out doing Dublin Brewing Company beers, then Brew No. 1, and now it's Finian's. Beware!
